Why a waiver?- A waiver is there to warn you about the risk inherent of playing this sport. Every organizers will have their own waivers and each of them will include various wording. Some will be simple while some others will have been checked by lawyers prior to be made accessible to the player (Springfield events uses a lawyer approved waiver

). The waiver is also there to tell us you actually comply to the document and are ready to accept the risks....which is why you or your guardian have to sign at the bottom.
Do I need a waiver every event?- It all depends on the event organizer. This is your responsibility to make sure if the host wants one waiver per event once a year can work for him. As an example, Springfield (OH) allows us to sign one waiver per year. So every January 1st of each year, the waiver are destroyed and a new waiver is required. Again, check with the event organizer to be sure.
Why is there 2 waivers? Some fields will require 2 waivers to be filled. One for the field owner, one for the organizer. Regardless on how many you need, always look at the event details to find out.
I am below 18years old, anything special for me?Indeed, we kept the best exactly for you. At the bottom of most event waivers, you will find a special section. This is where your parent/guardian must sign and need to notarize the waiver. Notarizing the waiver is simply the action of using a notary public to witness the signature. The notary public will also apply his stamp to confirm his action. Unless something changed, bankers and lawyers are considered notary public.
What if I am older than 18 years old? Most waiver will not ask you to fill the notary part of the waiver.
